About Chengalpattu Rural Development Society (CRDS)
Chengalpattu Rural Development Society, popularly known as CRDS, is the official organization for social ministry of the Diocese of Chengalpattu. It has been serving for the empowerment of the welfare disadvantaged people especially “Dalits” in the Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu districts with the 29 years of Excellency. The area of operation of Chengalpattu Rural Development Society is whole Kanchipuram and Chengalpattu districts consisting of 10 blocks. The underdeveloped situation of the people due to caste, poverty, illiteracy, Disabilities and lack of health facilities has motivated CRDS to organize people for their development and empowerment.
