Caritas India/Caritas Germany

CRDS has collaboratively working with Caritas India/Caritas Germany for the past two decades during the emergency or disaster situation at Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu Districts.

1. Udhayam Eco DRR project we have been working at 17 Villages affected severely during the floods 2015. with the mission of Inclusive restoration of Shelter, Livelihood, and reduction of disaster risk of the most vulnerable 2422 families in worst flood affected villages in Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu districts of Tamilnadu state. Various groups were formed at the selected 17 villages to implement the project planned activities to reduce the effectiveness of the disaster for the future generation as well as to make them to facilitate to protect the earth from global warming as well as to protect the ecology.

2. CMDRR programme aims at reducing the loss of lives, livelihood and property of the most marginalized Dalit communities during the seasonal cyclones and floods through inclusive disaster risk management in 25 villages including 3 coastal villages in the districts of Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu. 2000 households are taken as target for enhanced skills and adaptive capacity towards averting disaster situation. The households are to be educated about their rights, policies and accountability pathways and participate in Gram Sabha and initiate dialogue with duty bearers. Participatory Disaster Risk Assessment and preparation of Village Disaster Management Plans enable the communities devise mitigative measures to safeguard them from disasters. Engagement plan for task force and School Management committees play major role in this project addressing the vulnerability issue through the co-operation of Panchayat leaders, youth, SHGs, parents, teachers and students. Through this project, staffs are trained in KoBo Collect tool for collecting data, have completed 25 village level PDRA and formed 25 Task Force Committees with clear roles and responsibilities.

Kolping India

The collaboration with other organisation like kolping India, Kolping india is one of the international organization working collaboratively with CRDS from the Grass root level people with the Vision. To Build Up a Society Based on Love, Truth, Justice, Brotherhood and Cooperation, Rooted in Communion with God. The main object with the mission of Kolping India is Creating a new order in the Society based on Love, Peace, Truth, Justice, Solidarity and Fraternity wherein the values of the Gospels are translated into action with a stress on basic Christian atmosphere spiritually and with a focus on self sufficiency, economically, both enabling the members to live a life in accordance with the divine plan of salvation. Every year nearly 50 members were benefitted through the kolping India programs in collaboration with CRDS. Every Year 4 Houses were constructed through Kolping India, Every year 4 Milch Animals were provided to Dalit women’s to promote their livelihood. Revolving loans were also distributed to the community for the last 24 years through CRDS.

Tamilnadu Social Service Society

Tamilnadu Social Service Society is a forum of Marginalized and Voiceless working with CRDS collaboratively for Up scaling the capacities of the oppressed to involve in joint actions for deciding their destiny through mobilization, negotiation, networking, lobbying and advocacy efforts with greater commitment, cooperation and coordination with competent socially spirited organizations and people. TASOSS believes in fair process in all its interventions respecting human rights and dignity that are manifested in the practice of transparency, accountability to the stakeholders, and genuine participation in all stages of programme implementation. It follows rights based approach to development in all its initiatives that empower the marginalized communities to assert and claim their rights.

Nabfins

Nabard (Nabfins) is a financial agency that provides Group loans to the Self Help Group members. CRDS is authenticated as business facilitator by NABARD Financial Service Ltd (NABFINS) from Feb 2017 and are giving loan facilities women SHG’s and they are benefited by receiving loans through NABFINS we have given Rs.13Cr for 244 CRDS women SHG’s and with the help of this the women SHG’s are during small scale business in a good manner which helps them in raising their standard of living. Nabfins have been providing loans at low interest rate at their door step and without any hurdles for the beneficiaries.
